CHILDREN’S ADVOCACY CENTER

Founded in 1981, the mission of the Children’s Advocacy Center of Southwest Florida is to create a safe and nurturing space for children affected by abuse and neglect, where they share their stories, heal, and thrive with comprehensive support.

CHILD PROTECTION TEAM

The program works with a multidisciplinary team (MDT), including the Florida Department of Children and Families, law enforcement, and the State Attorney’s Office, to facilitate a coordinated and comprehensive approach to the identification, diagnosis, and treatment of child abuse and neglect.

PREVENTION SERVICES

The Children’s Advocacy Center provides prevention services through Parenting Programs, After-School and Summer Programs, and a partnership with the East United Way Resiliency Hub—all dedicated to educating, supporting, and empowering children and families.

FAMILY ALLIANCE

Family Alliance is a child-friendly outpatient counseling program that provides therapeutic treatment to children who have been abused or neglected.

FAMILY ADVOCACY

This program provides advocacy services to child victims of abuse being served by the Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) and the Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC).

Community Outreach & Education

The Children’s Advocacy Center of SWFL provides community education for adults and children including: Stewards of Children by Darkness to Light, and Monique Burr Foundation Child Prevention education.
